I'm Feeling The Benefits, But...

I feel like I should be seeing more results for the time it’s taking ⏰

This comes up a lot

And it’s fair, when you put in the work, you want to see return on your investment

First question to ask yourself is ‘what do you mean by seeing results? 🤔

Are you looking at yourself, how your clothes fit, or all on the scales?’ ⚖️

Because if you haven’t read last week’s blog, now is the perfect time as we discuss this in depth 💻

The next question is ‘how quick do you expect to see results?’ 🤔

You will feel the benefit of your changes within a week, which will continue to improve with consistency ✅

With fat-loss, it depends on your starting point

Because, the range of weight-loss we work within is 0.5-1% bodyweight loss per week

Ensuring we’re training and getting stronger, and eating enough protein, we can be confident that what we’re losing is primarily body-fat 🥩🍤

So, what doe that look like?

Take an 80kg person looking to get leaner and more toned

We would aim for anywhere from 0.4-0.8kg loss per week

This is with calories and protein nailed, getting training done and keeping day-to-day activity reasonably high (~8000 steps to start as an example)

Over a month, this person may lose anywhere from 1.6 to 3.2kg 📊

The higher end is VERY ambitious especially as we progress through the weeks, and water is already lost in the initial stages

Don’t be disheartened that you can’t keep losing a kilo a week

In a short 8 weeks, you can have healthy habits built for life in a way that works for you ✅, actually enjoy the day-to-day reality of your lifestyle change, see pretty significant results 💯 and know that you will be able to maintain these changes 🤝, rather than bounce back like after a 6 week crash diet 🚩

It’s a marathon not a sprint 🏃‍♂️
